Team Berlin Making Strides

At the 24th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Albany, on Sunday, October 20, there were over 16,000 walkers who raised $700,000! Team Berlin Believes had 19 registered walkers raising $2,123 with another 8 non-registered walkers and Finley the dog! This year the girls Varsity Volleyball coaches Paul Slaver and Cassie Bentley joined us with members of their team.

Team Berlin Believes gathers at Albany’s Washington Park to take part in the Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk this past Sunday. Photo provided.

Afterwards, Karen Day and Stephanie Hover, the co-advisors of the National Honor Society, treated the students that rode the bus to frozen yogurt before returning to the school.

Thank you to the school district for supplying us with transportation to and from Washington Park in Albany. This was the 6th year that our team has joined the Making Strides walk and we plan to continue doing it. It is held the third Sunday in October every year and we would love to have all our members join us.
