HFCS Golfers Finish Undefeated, 14-0

Wasaren League Tournament

Monday, September 30. Troy Country Club (par 71). Senior Ryan Bloomer 75 and junior Mat Smith 76 finished first and second individually, helping the Panthers secure 1st place as a team. Sophomores Allison Hathaway and Miles Smith also played well, finishing with scores of 99 and 84 respectively.  The Panthers’ team total of 235 was over 30 strokes less than its nearest competitor.

Tuesday, Oct. 1. HFCC (Par 34). Postponed from earlier in the season. Junior Mat Smith was the low score with a 1-under par round of 33, followed by Ryan Bloomer 37, Aiden Fleming 45 and Allison Hathaway 47.

Looking Back: The Panthers finished the regular season with a perfect 14-0 record to finish atop the Wasaren League.  Junior Mat Smith (14-0) and sophomore Allison Hathaway (8-0) also finished their seasons with perfect individual match records.

Looking Ahead: Mat and Allison will compete, along with senior Ryan Bloomer and sophomore Miles Smith, in the Section 2 tournament next week for a chance to advance to the State Tournament in the spring and a Section 2 team title.
