Hoosick Falls

October 18, 2019 By steve bradley

Coffee With A Cop

What started in California’s Hawthorne Police Department as an idea to bring together the community over casual coffee conversations has now turned into Coffee With A Cop, a worldwide initiative with hundreds of events each year. Joining in on the effort to bridge the gap between the community and the law was Cumberland Farms, and more specifically, their Church Street location.  The Hoosick Falls store joined more than 40 other Cumby’s from  across the Northeast and Florida for this year’s National Coffee with a Cop Day.

Gathered for Coffee with a Cop were, left to right, Cumberland’s Nicole Aronson, Hoosick Falls Officers Wagner and Waldron and Store Manager Kim Gorman. Photo provided.

The event took place on Wednesday, October 2 from 8 to 9 am and gave the community the opportunity to connect with police officers over a free cup of coffee on Cumberland Farms. Those who attended the event had a chance to personally meet the local police force, ask questions about the community, and build relationships with those who serve them each day.
