Margaret O’Dell

Hoosick Falls – Margaret “Peggy” O’Dell, 83, died peacefully on Friday October 5, at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was surrounded by family members, Donna Hammond (niece), Kim Taylor (niece), Miranda Pleasant (great-niece), Penny Pleasant (sister-in-law), and Randy O’Dell (nephew). She was the wife of the late John O’Dell who passed several years ago.

Peggy was born on January 5, 1936, in Hoosick Falls and attended schools there. She was formerly employed at C B Sports in Bennington, Vermont. She was a member of the West Hoosick Baptist Church and the Hill Country Cloggers. Peggy enjoyed camping with her husband, cooking, baking and listening to music.

Survivors include her sister Lillian LaRosa of Salem, NH, along with all her special nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Richard Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 19 from the West Hoosick Baptist Church at 11 am. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 am until the start of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Hoosick Baptist Church, Second Chance Animal Shelter or a local nonprofit of your choice through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls who are handling the services.
