2019 Van Rensselaer Awards Handed Out

Members of the area’s business community, along with a number of local dignitaries, gathered at Troy’s Hilton Garden Inn on Thursday evening, September 26, as the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of this year’s Van Rensselaer Awards. These awards honor businesses and one individual for their outstanding examples of philanthropic giving and citizenship.

This year’s Corporate Award went to Siena College, accepted by acting President Dr. Margaret Madden.  The Small Business Award presented to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall was accepted by Executive Director Jon Elbaum.

The Edward H. Pattison “Ebbie” Citizenship Award honored Paula Stopera, the former President of CAP Com Federal Credit Union.
