Berlin CC Are League Champs
The Berlin Cross Country teams competed at League Championships continued to show why they are a threat for Sectionals.
The varsity girls continued to set new personal records as they prepare for sectionals as the class D favorite.

Five girls set new personal records. Elsie Corbett, a two time Wasaren League All-Star, led the way with a ninth place finish. Hailey Beckwith found her old self, Brady Hills kicked hard at the finish, Sam Rokjer said no to letting up, and Ariana Hendricks fought through the pain to shatter her previous best.
The girls finished third overall.
The boys took home the Wasaren League Championship Title with a win. They finished with the top four boys finishing within eight places of each other.
Collin Douglas led the way, finishing second and becoming a Wasaren League All-Star. He was followed by fellow All-Stars Matt Kluck, Michael Loughlin (a personal record by one minute) and Jack Flowers.
Dan Hendricks had the gutsiest run of the day as he fought off fatigue and three opponents. Hendricks set a new personal record to help the team claim first. Brandon Rifenburg just missed breaking 20 minutes, while Phil Oakes was able to shave off two minutes from his previous best.
The modifieds set the bar as Aidan Van Dyke finished second overall setting a new personal record in a time of 12:46 while Layne Chaykowski-Jewett fought off a cramp and finished 10th and Jayli Capasso, the legion of one, finished 14th amongst a packed group of modified girls.
The team is preparing for Sectionals which are next Friday.
