It was a full house for the Grafton Historical Society’s program on Sunday afternoon, November 17, to learn about the History of Logging in Grafton, as presented by Rynard Gundrum Jr. He reviewed more than five decades of logging and his own experiences as the nature of the work changed from man and horse to the modern mechanical equipment used today.

In addition to a very informative and comprehensive story of his family’s business, there was a large exhibit of historic logging tools and equipment including early chain saws and hand tools. The exhibit also included photos of logging operations done by the Gundrum family over many years.
