The Nutcracker Is Coming To PVMCC

The Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center will present a screening of the classical ballet, The Nutcracker, on Saturday, December 7 at 6:30 pm. Doors will open at 6 pm.

The show stars the dancers of the Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet (NMYB) under the direction and choreography of Adam J. Holmes, M.A.  It also features the Connecticut Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Chris Hisey. Last year this performance was professionally recorded at the Regina Quick Center Theater in Fairfield, CT. and will shown on the large screen at PVMCC.

Christina Holms, the Executive Director and Producer of NMYB will be our special guest. NMYB families as well as the Homes family have generously donated gift baskets, which will be raffled off during the screening to benefit the Grafton Area Food Pantry.

There is no charge at the door, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Pantry, which serves any person who has food needs, especially those in Rensselaer County east of Troy. No one is ever turned away.

The PVMCC has been a generous supporter of the Food Pantry since it opened.
