Tamarac Looks At A World Beyond High School
Tamarac High School hosted its first ever Non-Traditional College/Trade School Fair in the Multi-Purpose Gym on Monday, December 9. It is described as a look at post-secondary education that does not require a college degree. All high school students had the opportunity to attend the fair and gather information from representatives from approximately 20 local trade schools and small colleges.
District Superintendent Angelina Maloney said, “we recognize that traditional college is not for everyone. Instead, many students are hands-on-learners who long for opportunities where they can learn valuable skills and use them to confidently enter the workforce. Because of this, we wanted to give our students the chance to explore areas outside of a traditional educational setting!” (see photo page 8)
