Festival Of Trees Well Attended
“Build it and they shall come.” That is the famous line from the movie Field of Dreams. So it was with the Grafton Festival of Trees. This year it was held at Greywacke Meadows, the festival’s third home in as many years. No matter, lots of people came to visit on Saturday, December 7, to enjoy and vote for their favorite tree, take part in the craft fair and enjoy some of the light refreshments being served. For a while, the event was so well attended it was tough to find a parking spot.

The winners of the 2019 version were Cheyanne Knorowski for the Individual Child’s entry entitled “The Nutcracker Tree.” The Grafton Youth Group took the title for the Children’s Organization with a tree labeled “Children of the Future.” The Individual Adult prize went to Beth Wagar for her tree, “Country Plaid Christmas.” The tree also won Best of Festival for Ms. Wagar. The Grafton Community Library won the Best Organization title for “Books Are Friends.”
