Panther Bowlers Roll Over The Competition

Monday, January 6. After the holiday break the Hoosick Falls bowling team returned to action with a non-league match against northern rival Fort Edward. 

The Panthers started strong winning the first game of the match before Fort Edward came alive in the second, winning that game by 10 pins.  Hoosick Falls then came back and won the third game to seal their overall victory, finishing with a total of 3638 to Fort Edward’s 3542.

Junior Ziena Hurlburt 238-702 led Hoosick Falls while Edward Amell 255-623 led Ford Edward.

Top scores from Hoosick Falls included Owynn Arnold 247-644, Evan Webster 231-630, Ryan Maxon 232-628, Payton Merrills 243-628, Colin King 204-570, Erin McCart 223, Brody Mullen 197, Colin Cipperly 194, Jordyn Wilwol 182 and Ethan Yonconish 172.

While not a league match, the win makes 9 in a row to start the year for Hoosick Falls.

Tuesday, January 7 at Barbecue Recreation. The Panthers won by a score of 5-0, finishing with a total of 3853 pins to Stillwater’s 3369.

Senior Colin Cipperly 268-726 led the Panthers while Cody Julian 222-631 led Stillwater. Top scores for Hoosick Falls included Evan Webster 245-688, Riley Hayes 246-671, Colin King 269-670, Owynn Arnold 232-660, Payton Merrills 257-652, Ryan Maxon 257-620, Ethan Yonconish 201-566, Erin McCart 202-562, Brody Mullen 201-561, Jordyn Wilwol 212-558, Ziena Hurlburt 202-547, Kendra Marshall 186-526, Troy McCart 202-511, Bradley Senecal 200-501 and Jenna Backes 212-468.  

The win brings Hoosick Falls’ point record to 45-0 for the season.

The team now has the rest of the week off before finishing the regular season with 3 home matches next week. It hosts Berlin on Tuesday, Mechanicville on Wednesday and travels to Hilltop Bowl for a match against Waterford on Thursday.
