Note: Because of Regents tests there were few games played locally early this week.
The Cambridge Lady Indians traveled to Brooklyn, NY to compete in the nationally known Rose Classic Super Jam tournament over the MLK weekend.
Sixty-nine teams, from the five NYC boroughs, seven states and Canada, competed. The annual event, now in its thirteenth year, is played at three different sites.
Cambridge won both their games.
Sophie Phillips was named the tournament MVP, with Fiona Mooney earning the Sportsmanship award and Abby Maher receiving a Scholar-Athlete award.

Monday, January 20. After an evenly played first quarter, Cambridge ran away from Xaverian (a private Catholic school in Brooklyn, NY) to a 47-24 lead by the end of the third quarter. Sophie Phillips had 14 points (4-3’s). Mooney had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Ruth Nolan had nine rebounds. Lilly Phillips had seven rebounds and five assists.

Saturday, January 18. Playing Class AA Baldwin (Long Island), at NYS Class AA top 25 team, this game ended up being a triple overtime thriller. Sophie Phillips scored 22, Fionna Mooney had 17 and Lilly Phillips 12 and Stasia Epler chipped in 11 points.

Monday, January 20. This non-league match found Sydney Hart scoring 16 points to lead the Indians past South Glens Falls.
