In order to be eligible to take the certification exam, which is provided through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, each nurse met continuing education and experience requirements. Each studied, took the extensive exam and passed.

The award winners are, left to right: Megan Dick, BSN, RN, OCN; Carol Comar Frost, APRN; Allen Langlais, RN, OCN; Cancer Center Nurse Manager Jenny Coutu, MSN, RN, OCN; Laurie James, RN, OCN; Michele Noble, RN, OCN; Mary Weinfurt, BSN, RN, OCN; Christina Cullinane, BSN, RN, OCN; and Chief Nursing Officer Pamela Duchene, PhD, APRN.

“An entire nursing team certified in a specialty can be rare,” said Cancer Center Nurse Manager Jenny Coutu, MSN, RN, OCN. “Having all nurses certified is a testament to the quality and commitment of our oncology nurses and supports our mission to provide the highest quality care to our patients.”
