Panther Bowlers Finish Second In Class C/D Tournament

Tuesday, February 11. Boulevard Bowl, Schenectady. The Hoosick Falls bowling team finished its postseason on Tuesday, with a second place finish in the Section 2 Class C/D Tournament.

After a slow start the Panthers found themselves in 7th, trailing 1st place Fort Edward by a total of 267 pins.  Behind senior co-captain Evan Webster 227-634, Hoosick Falls finished the morning well, entering the lunch break in 3rd, 114 pins behind Fort Edward and 37 pins behind Stillwater.

After lunch, senior Colin Cipperly 218-611 and sophomore Colin King 232-607 led a Panther charge but it wasn’t quite enough.  Hoosick Falls ended up finishing with a total of 5889 pins for the day, 196 behind champion Fort Edward’s 6,085, and 16 pins ahead of 3rd place Stillwater’s 5,873 pins.  

Other individual scores for Hoosick Falls included Erin McCart 225-599 and Owynn Arnold 244-589.  

On Wednesday Hoosick Falls sent three bowlers, Payton Merrills, Riley Hayes and Kendra Marshall, to compete individually in the Section 2 Tournament with girls from all classes competing together.
