Class Action Lawsuit Against Taconic Moves Forward

The law firm of Weitz and Luxenberg announced via a press release on Friday, January 31, that the New York State Supreme Court has cleared the way for a class action suit filed against Taconic, Inc, to move forward and be heard in Rensselaer County Court. The New York City based firm represents the Petersburgh residents who are part of the class action.

The press release says that the court wrote in its opinion, the evidence shows Taconic knew that the water below its facility was contaminated as early as 2004.
For its part, Taconic continues to decline to comment on pending litigation.
