Cruelty To Animals Arrest
Hoosick Falls Police Department arrested Amy Peabody, age 50, of Fourth Street in Hoosick Falls on Saturday, February 29 and charged her with Cruelty of Animals under the Agriculture and Market laws. Investigation begun when it was brought to the attention of the department that a one and a half year old Boxer was not being provided proper food and water. Officers working with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society were able to assist with locating the dog and providing it with proper medical care. The boxer, named Judge, has been adopted by a family and is being cared for and is doing fine.
Peabody has been issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Village Court on March 12.
