There was a rumor that leprechauns had been busy decking the gazebo in the Grafton Town Park this past weekend, bringing the 518 Rainbow Hunt message of Hope during this time of COVID-19 to the forefront for all to see. The Eastwick Press looked into this, and found it was not leprechauns at all, but the work of two town residents, Amy Reger and Madonna Crandall Roy, with a little help from Amy’s husband Rich.

Ms. Reger tells us “there is hope at the end of every Rainbow and I believe that we are a strong community that supports each other. I also believe that we will rise out of this stronger than we were before. We wanted to remind people to stay hopeful and hope it also brings a smile to their face. The gazebo has also been decked out in white lights that come on at 7 pm each night.
As to the other rumor, that there was a pot of gold inside the gazebo, the answer is no. We checked. After all, who can pass up a pot of gold.
