Town Board Resolves To Have Short Meeting
By Doug La Rocque
The Brunswick Town Board’s meeting on Thursday, April 9, was closed to the public but was streamed line on Facebook. The board itself did attend, but made sure they were all properly distanced from one another. Other than approving a motion to hold the meeting involving a digital platform, the board simply paid its bills and approved four resolutions.
The first accepted a $34,000 bid from Troy Sand and Gravel for on-site grinding and removal of brush, yard-waste and wood accumulated at the former Brunswick Landfill on Old Siek Road.
The second authorized Supervisor Phil Herrington to execute an agreement with the law Firm or Girvan and Ferlazzo for legal services in connection with labor and employment matters.
The third authorized the purchase of a 4×4 International Truck with stainless steel body and sander from Delurey Sales and Service for $121,227. The final resolution authorized the purchase of a tire changer from Mohawk Resources for $12,647. All resolutions were unanimously approved.
