Reverse Parade Brings a Boost to the Berlin CSD Community

Submitted by Rachel Turetsky

On Saturday, April 25, the teachers and staff at the Berlin Central School District hosted a Reverse Parade. It was a warm spring day with waving, beeping, cheering, smiling, and most of all, the connection the students and staff are missing so much.

Students and families were able to drive through the parking lots of the Berlin Elementary and the Middle-High School where excited teachers and staff were lined up to greet and celebrate them.

Local Fire Departments, State Troopers and Emergency Responders participated as well and shared in the joy of the smiling faces that went cruising by.

Our BCSD principals were filled with Mountaineer Pride after the day’s events and sent these messages:

Message from BES Principal Mrs. Tracy Kent

“I’d like to thank our staff, students, families and local fire companies for making Saturday’s parade such a huge success. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces. Saturday’s event was much needed as BES misses its students so much.”

Message from Middle/High School Principal Dr. Cathie Allain

“Thank you to everyone who came out to the Berlin Middle/High School Parade! It was a wonderful opportunity to see our students who we dearly miss. The parade provided an opportunity for us to wave and cheer for our students and their families. In addition, it gave staff the chance to see each other as well as provide a needed morale boost for all!”
