Memorial Day Chicken BBQ
Following the ceremonies at the town’s Veterans Monument and at two cemeteries, members of the Taconic Valley American Legion Post held a Chicken Barbecue at their headquarters on Railroad Street, the former Watipi Building, which they continue to renovate. In a testament to the generosity of the Taconic Valley, when post members went to pick up the chicken from Hilton Pork, they found the bill replaced with a note that said: Donation – thank you for your service.”
The post is also accepting flags for disposal at the Berlin Post Office, until Flag Day, June 14.
