Hoosick Falls Police Department Press Release

On Tuesday May 26, Hoosick Falls Police arrested the following subject after a month long investigation into his online attempt to meet a 15 year old girl for sexual contact.

The defendant messaged an undercover Officer from the Hoosick Falls Police Department, under the belief that he was communicating with a 15 year old female. The contact involved internet text conversations of a sexual nature.

Keith Dunn

At the present time there are no known real victims of the defendant and there was never any real 15 year old girl in communication with the defendant.

Arrested was 37-year old Keith Dunn of 145 Church Street, Hoosick Falls. Dunn was charged with:

• Felony Attempted Luring of a child to commit a Crime

• Felony Attempted Disseminating indecent material to a minor

• Felony Attempted Use of a child in a sexual performance

• Misdemeanor Attempted Endangering of a child

He was arraigned in Village Court and release to reappear on June 11.

The Hoosick Falls Police Department is asking anyone who may have had contact with the subject to contact the Hoosick Falls Police Department at 518-686-7900.

It can be a dangerous world out there and especially on the internet. This is a serious matter and we encourage all parents to please take notice of their child’s use of the computer and please talk to your child.  Staying active with your child and knowing what your child is doing can keep them safe.
