2018 Death Now Ruled A Homocide
“Thirty one year old Megan Dyer-Maclean was found deceased in a wooded area near her home in Johnsonville on June 4, 2018.”
For nearly two years, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit have continued to investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, which is now being investigated as a homicide.
High levels of Strychnine were detected in Dyer-Maclean’s body. Strychnine is a bitter and highly poisonous compound which was used as a rodenticide, but is not commonly used today.
