Blooming Now
Blooming now in our rich woods are the Purple (or Red) Trilliums (Trillium erectum). They are one of the most showy of our spring flowers, so easy to spot and admire.
Look next to trees or a spring. Plants are usually six to twelve inches high, with three leaves and a single flower that can be three inches in diameter. There are three maroon pedals and three green sepals.
