HFCS Announces Graduation Date

As posted from the HFCS website

Hoosick Falls Central School will have a diploma distribution on June 24. Seniors and their families can drive into the parking lot and collect their diploma. An area there will be decorated for photos.

We are planning on coordinating a senior parade after the diploma distribution with the parents who have expressed an interest. The diploma/photo portion at the school would be from 11 am to 3 pm. Then that evening, we would like to have a senior parade through town starting sometime between 6 or 7 pm. We are also looking to potentially have fireworks later that evening for the seniors.

We have started planning for a graduation video, which will have the traditional speeches, images from the diploma distribution, parade, etc… We would distribute that over the summer once it is finalized.

We are asking parents to be involved with the video. We would love to include family photos of the seniors, or even a message to the senior from family members. Each senior would have a portion of the video designated specifically for him or her. More information will follow shortly.

Please direct all questions to the building principal at hallm@hoosickfallscsd.org or 518-686-7321 ext. 1506.

Elementary School Ceremonies

To honor the important milestones as the school year comes to a close, we will be hosting a final farewell for all grade levels UPK-6, on Monday, June 15 (rain date: June 16).  In an effort to abide by all safety guidelines, we will be hosting drive-thru events in our school parking lot. Teachers will be there to pass out certificates to students in the grade levels that traditionally have an end of the year celebration or graduation. All other grade levels are welcome to come at 3:00 for a “reverse parade.” Teachers and staff members will be there to cheer students on and give our final farewell wave for the year. As we are trying to make this as special for the students as possible, we are reminding everyone that they will need to remain in their cars. Teachers and staff will be wearing masks and will be appropriately distanced apart from one another.   The schedule of drive-thru events is as follows:

•  12:00 – UPK Celebration

•  1:00 – Kindergarten Celebration

•  2:00 – 6th Grade Graduation

•  3:00 – Final Farewell and reverse parade

      for all grade levels
