Immaculate Conception Church In Hoosick Falls To Open For Services in Church Hall
by Bea Peterson
In accordance with the Governor’s recent announcement and with the Bishop’s permission Fr. Tom Zelker is pleased to announce that Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls will begin holding Masses on Saturdays and Sundays. The first Masses will be Saturday, June 20 at 4 pm and Sunday, June 21 at 9 am. The Masses will be held in the church hall with many regulations. Reservations to attend the service must be made by calling 518-686-5064 from Wednesday, 9 am until Friday noon or by e-mailing immconcept@roadrunner.com.

Allowing for the six foot distancing, the seating capacity is 25% of the parishioners. That amounts to 55 people. If families living together attend, then the capacity can be increased a bit. Everyone must wear a mask and use hand sanitizer when entering the hall and before receiving Communion. The only entrance to the hall will be on the Elm Street side of the building.
At this point parishioners that are older or with medical conditions are strongly urged to stay home.

Mass will resume at St. Patrick’s Church in Cambridge at 11 am on Sunday, June 21, with similar restrictions.
