Max Kipp Wins Panther Pride Award

by Kevin Weeden

Each year the Weeden Family has given out an award in honor of my late father, entitled the Vernon P. Weeden Panther Pride award. This year’s recipient is Max Kipp. I receive nominations from our head coaches at Hoosick Falls Central School, and the list is then sent on to teachers for their comments. Afterward, my family makes the final decision.

There are many characteristics considered in making this award, including good character, an athlete who works hard to make his team better, a good role model, a passion for Hoosick Falls athletics, is a member of the senior class, and loves the numbers and stats of his sports.

Vernon Weeden spent countless hours researching data on HFCS sports teams. The data he collected is on the HFCS website under athletics.
