SML Begins Curbside Service
The Stephentown Library is now opening for Curbside Service. The physical building will continue to be closed to the public but staff will be onsite to fulfill requests which will be able to be picked up outside of the library.
Patrons will once again be able to request material from SML as well as other libraries in the Upper Hudson System that are open (some are still closed). We will also offer printer/fax service if items to be printed/faxed can be emailed to the library.
We encourage patrons to order materials online using the online catalogue. Patrons are also able to call the library to make requests. When all items are ready for pickup, patrons will be notified and then be able to make an appointment to come to the library. Appointments can be made by calling the library. Patrons MUST have an appointment to pick up materials. At the appointment time, our staff will place the items on a table outside labeled with the patrons name. We understand that this is a very different method of delivering library services and we hope that everyone will be patient as we work out this new service. The library will continue Curbside Service for a minimum of two weeks.
The library will also be running on a modified and temporary schedule. The hours are as follows.
Tuesday – 3 to 6 pm
Wednesday – 12 to 3 pm
Thursday – 3 to 6 pm
Friday – 1 to 4 pm
Saturday – 10 am to noon.
Please go to www.stephentownlibrary.org or our Facebook page to find out more details about Curbside Pick as well as to read our Phased Reopening Plan. Any questions can also be emailed to Kim Roppolo at director@stephentownlibrary.org.
We look forward to being able to start bringing our services back to our community.
