Key Bank Is Robbed, Suspect Nabbed

Shortly before noon on Monday, July 6, a suspect, now identified by NYS Police as 26-year old Oscar C. Rodriguez of Troy, is alleged to have entered the Key Bank on Hoosick Road (NYS Route 7) brandishing a weapon, believed to be a shotgun, and demanding money. He left with an undisclosed amount, but troopers were quickly on his tail, finally stopping his vehicle along US Route 20 in Guilderland.
He was later arraigned in Brunswick Town Court before Justice Buchanan and charged with Robbery in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, also in the 2nd Degree.
He was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
There were no reports of injuries and the investigation is on going.
