Digesting Dill
The Two-striped Grasshopper (Melanoplus bivittatus) has a pair of yellow stripes from the top of its body to the hind of its wings.
It is common in North America, can be over two inches in length, and can mate for ten hours. This one was found on a dill plant in a Petersburgh garden and looked like a curled leaf until closer examination.
