Flu Clinic is Scheduled
The Stephentown Seniors will sponsor a Flu Clinic on Saturday, October 3 starting at 10 am at the Stephentown Town Hall.
Heather Govel, a Stephentown resident and Certified Immunizing Pharmacist has volunteered her services during this challenging time. Govel, now practicing in Delmar, was previously the Pharmacist at the West Sand Lake Hannaford store.
All protocols will be followed for the safe administering of vaccines. In addition to the flu vaccine, during this clinic Govel will also be able to provide the pneumonia, shingles and tetanus vaccines if needed.
In order to practice social distancing, people will be scheduled for specific time slots. Accommodations can be made for those who require assistance because of physical limitations.
Govel is able to vaccinate adults and children over the age of 4. You do not need to be a senior, veteran, or resident of Stephentown in order to participate. The clinic is open to anyone interested but in order to adhere to social distancing parameters please contact Heather Govell at 518-281-4030 or Seniors President Judy Hunt at 518-733-5755 in order to schedule your vaccines. Prior arrangement is definitely required for anyone interested in receiving the new Shingles vaccine.
To facilitate the paperwork, it will help to fill out the necessary consent form in advance. Copies of this can be had from Judy Hunt or can be downloaded at www.Hannaford.com under pharmacy/Immunizations information.
