Water Tank Being Filled

The Petersburgh Water District is refilling its tank after repairs were made to the inlet and outlet pipes.Supervisor Dennis Smith said as far as the water operators can tell, the tank is holding water and no further leakage has been detected. As of press time, he said it is about a quarter full. The water operator is taking some time to fill it so as not to “stress out the wells.” He expects it will be filled and back on line in a week or so.
