Vehicle Goes On Wild Ride Occupants Suffer Minor Injuries
by Steve Bradley
An eastbound (toward Vermont) late model Subaru Forrester left Route 7 about 100 feet west of the entrance to Country Acres Estates in Pittstown at 9 am Friday morning and continued on for a wild ride.
According to a young man out hitting golf balls on the lawn who witnessed the entire thing, after leaving the roadway, the vehicle went through 75 feet of heavy brush the continued across the lawn and up the ramp-like side of the Country Estates entry road, then continued airborne across the roadway, landing on the other side. The vehicle then rolled four or five times before coming to rest on the lawn.

The four people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were shaken. Although the vehicle rolled several times, the roof did not collapse into the cabin, probably preventing serious injuries. The Pittstown Fire Department and Pittstown Rescue, NY State Police, along with other departments responded to the scene.
