Woman Is Rosekrans Winner

The recipient of this year’s Rosekrans award is Ally Hoag.

This award is selected by the cattle program in memory of Helen Rosekrans, a long-time cattle leader and Schaghticoke Fair “Mom” to all. It is designed to recognize an outstanding high school graduating senior who has been a “model” 4-H member and who has been involved in the cattle program throughout their 4-H Career. Members who have been active not only in showing cattle, but have taken advantage of other offerings 4-H has in terms of the educational events related to cattle.

Ally Hoag is the daughter of Jaclyn and Michael Hoag of Hoosick Falls.  Ally is a member if the Stateline Livestock 4-H Club, and overall has been an active member of the 4-H community. She has been working with and showing cattle since she could walk and has participated in programs such as the National 4-H Agri-Science Youth Summit in Chevy Chase, Maryland.  In addition to being an avid dairy cattle showman, she is a member of the Holstein Association and was a part of her high school’s soccer team. 

Ally graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School this year, and is currently attending SUNY Cobleskill where she is majoring in Agricultural Science.
