News from the Berlin Community Food Closet

As we gear up for the Christmas (and winter) season, the following items are needed:

Hot chocolate, hot cereal, baking mixes, dish soap, canned meals such as chili, hash, beef stew, boxed mac and cheese, canned fruits and vegetables, vegetable oil, powdered drink mix, mayonnaise, ketchup, canned meats. Please watch the expiration dates on donated items.

Donations can be left at Taconic Mountain Insurances, Dollar General, Berlin Town Clerk or at the UMC @ Berlin. Monetary donations can be sent to: BCFS c/o UMC at Berlin, Box 225, Berlin, NY 12022.

Christmas Ham Dinner boxes will be available to Berlin and Petersburgh families in need. Contact the Food Closet by December 15 to preorder. Call 518-658-2942 or 518-795-0509  to order.

December Food Pick ups are Tuesday, December 15, 3-6 pm and Saturday, December 19, 9-11 am.

Non Contact Emergency Food Drop offs are available for Quarantined families.  Contact the Food Closet for more information.
