Kathleen Patire Will Replace Pam Cottrell As District Clerk

At its November 19 meeting, the Hoosick Falls School Board appointed Kathleen Patire as District Clerk and as Secretary to the Superintendent, to replace Pam Cottrell who is retiring at the end of December. The Board voted unanimously in favor, except that Joe Patire abstained.

The Board appointed Emily Colgrove as High School Secretary to replace Kathleen Patire.

The Board also approved additional sports team mergers with Tamarac High School in Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, and Outdoor Track.

Hoosick Falls PTA President Tara Caron gave the Board a presentation recapping PTA activities and expenditures for last year and presenting a budget for this year’s activities. The PTA is budgeting a little over $26,000 in total income for the 20-21 school year on fundraising expenses of about $12,000 and overhead of about $1,000, allowing for program spending in excess of $13,000 for the year, including $3,000 of scholarships, $4,340 in support for school programs, $4,000 in field trip support and more.

The Board appointed Jenn McDonald and Tara Antolik as advisers to the Honor Society, Tim Ossont and Rob Viera as advisers to the Junior Class, and Jessica Nelson and Katelyn Baker as advisors to the Senior Class.
