GLSP To Hold Cabin Fever Event
Ice Fishing Contest Is Canceled
Grafton Lakes State Park and the Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park will host a Cabin Fever event on Saturday, January 23. Due to COVID-19, we are not able to have our annual Winter Fest event and instead are excited to offer a day full of outings and a family-friendly guided trail. All activities will be pre-registration only. The event is free of charge and will take place from 9 am to 4 pm.
Do you love winter? Join local clubs and organizations such as the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance, the Rensselaer Land Trust and the Dyken Pond for hikes, educational walks, dog walks, and more. Embrace the cold on our guided trail and learn from presenters such as the Adirondack Mountain Club, Tamakoce Wilderness Programs, and the Rensselaer County Search and Rescue on how-to topics such as winter hiking, winter camping, and winter survival. A schedule was released online on January 1 and registration began January 2. All activities will require online registration.
