JV Masterminds at the Top of the Leaderboard

Submitted by Rachel Turetsky

BCS Communications Department

The JV masterminds continued their winning streak claiming their matches against Hoosick Falls (210 to 60) and Berne-Knox-Westerlo (200 to 20). Congratulations to Ray Erikson, Elsie Corbett, Ashley Smerdon, Danny Rivera, Connor Sniger and Riley Smith on a job well done and keeping Berlin JV at the top of the leaderboard!

Congratulations to the Varsity Masterminds team… Jordanne Brazie, Holly and Bridget Hermann, Gavin Bink, and Austin Meyette who all competed last Friday against Hoosick Falls to win 205 to 30! The team worked hard but fell short on points against Holy Names.

Berlin Middle / High School fields a Modified, Junior Varsity and Varsity Masterminds team each year as an extracurricular opportunity for students to represent their school in an interscholastic setting.

The quiz bowl competition is for students who enjoy games like Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit. The quiz questions range in topic from art, biology, chemistry, current events, geography, history, literature, music, political science, pop culture, religion and sports.

This year the meets are online and the Berlin Masterminds are proving that they are strong competitors both in-person and virtually.
