Hoosick Falls Rolls To 35-0

Berlin 5 – W-ford-Halfmoon 0

February 8. The Mountaineers swept all five points for the match, defeating their opponents 2,643 – 2,096.

Jordanne Brazie led the team with a 516, rolling 155, 200, 161. Kasey Billert was next with a 483, featuring a nice 190 to end the day. Danny Hunt had notable games with 169, 155; Matthew Hart had a nice 165; and Rhiannon Dawes had a solid 155.

Micayla Price had an excellent day on JV, rolling 137, 141 in games two and three.

Stillwater 5 – Berlin 0

February 6. The Berlin bowlers struggled to find their groove for the weekend bowling.

Kasey Billert led the team with a 465 on the day. Notable varsity games from the match came from Logan Dunlop with a 182, Kasey Billert with 160, 161, and Rhiannon Dawes with a 159.

HF 5 – Mechanicville – 0

February 5. Hoosick Falls at Barbecue Recreation /Mechanicville at Hometown Lanes. Hoosick Falls finished with a total of 3724 pins to Mechanicville’s 3136.

Mechanicville was led by Glenn Prairie 254-639, Nathan Starks 191-550, Chris O’Connor 193-543.

Brady Mullen, a junior bowling for the Hoosick Falls Panthers, led the Panthers on February 5 with a perfect 300 game to start the match on his way to a 728. This was Brody’s second career 300 game. His first came during a match last season, on the same pair of lanes, with the same ball. Photo provided.

Other scores besides Brady Mullen for Hoosick Falls included Payton Merrills 248-678, Colin King 241-625, Ryan Maxon 233-593, Erin McCart 212-586, Kendra Marshall 222-578, Riley Hayes 205-571, Ziena Hurlburt 206-566, Ethan Yonconish 207, Bradley Senecal 194 and Troy McCart 145.

The win improves Hoosick Falls’ point record to 40-0 for the season with only 4 matches remaining.

They will continue their season next week with matches against Saratoga Catholic and Waterford before pausing for winter break.

HF 5 – Stillwater 0

February 3. Hoosick Falls  at the Barbecue Recreation, Stillwater bowling at Hometown Lanes.

Hoosick Falls continued their season with a 5-0 victory over  Hoosick Falls finished with a total of 3847 pins to Stillwater’s 3503.

Connor Julian 235-674 led Stillwater. Other top scores for Stillwater included Devin Dickson 235-662, Alan Conklin 226-650, Tyler Hogan 252-599 and Adam Conklin 172.

Freshman Payton Merrills 242-690 led the way for the Panthers. Other scores for Hoosick Falls included Brody Mullen 269-688, Bradley Senecal 256-673, Colin King 245-672, Ziena Hurlburt 256-659, Kendra Marshall 232-647, Ethan Yonconish 231-607, Ryan Maxon 209-599, Riley Hayes, 201, Erin McCart 193 and Troy McCart 151.

After the win, Hoosick Falls’ point record improves to 35-0 for the season.  They will finish the week with a match against Mechanicville.

Berlin 5 – Hoosic Valley 0

January 28. The Mountaineers clinched their first sweep of the season, winning all 5 points over Hoosic Valley. Congratulations, bowlers!

The team has a match this week against Mechanicville on Friday February 12. Good luck Berlin Bowlers!
