Hoosick Falls Goes To 50-0; Berlin Rolls New Highs

HF 5 – Saratoga Catholic 0

Hoosick Falls, bowling at the Barbecue Recreation on Thursday February 11, with Saratoga Catholic bowling on February 9 at Saratoga Strike Zone. 

The Panthers finished with a total of 3618 pins to Saratoga Catholic’s 3150.  Hoosick Falls junior Colin King led all bowlers, finishing with a 670 series after narrowly missing perfection in his first game (a 298).  Hayden Day’s 246-652 led Saratoga Catholic.

Other top scores for Saratoga Catholic included Jon Ares 231-599, Dylan Mulholland 196-514, Aiden Lambert 215 and Cody Burky 192.

Other scores for Hoosick Falls included: Bradley Senecal 223-622, Payton Merrills 224-597, Ziena Hurlburt 203-577, Erin McCart 206-572, and Brody Mullen 196-550, Kendra Marshall 189, Riley Hayes 178, Troy McCart 170, Ryan Maxon 163 and Ethan Yonconish 158.

Hoosick Falls improves to 50-0 for the season with only one match remaining, Hoosic Valley on Friday.

Berlin 1 – Mechanicville 4

Just before their winter break the Berlin bowlers finished their regular season matches on a high note, rolling a new high match total of 2,893 against Mechanicville.

The Mountaineers started the match by setting a new high game total of 1,061 – the first time in team history that the bowlers have scored over 1,000 for a game total!

All Varsity bowlers were on a roll during game one. Kasey Billert led the way with a 189, Logan Dunlop had a 179, Rhiannon Dawes and Matthew Hart each shot 177, Daniel Hunt had a 172, and Jacob Brazie had a nice 167.

 The bowlers won the first match point with that impressive game, making the match 4-1, taking a point from one of the best teams in the league.

Daniel Hunt had a nice 561 with an outstanding 231 game; Rhiannon Dawes had her first 500 series ever – ending the day with a 180 for a 513, and Kasey Billert was close behind with a 487.

On JV Micayla Price started the day with a 142 and Paris DeFilippis had a nice 120 game.

The Mountaineers plan to close the season on March 5 when they compete in the league tournament.
