A Bad Ending To The Day

A 28-year old Hoosick Falls man’s trip ended not as he planned, and with a different destination, the hospital. According to Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Deputies, the driver of this pickup was northbound on East Hollow Road, near Thistle Hill Way, when he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree.

Initial reports from the scene made the accident seem more serious than it turned out to be. Lifenet Helicopter was put on standby but soon canceled. The victim was transported by the Petersburgh Ambulance, with assistance from the Bennington Rescue Squad’s ALS Paramedic, to the Albany Medical Center. According to the Sheriff’s Department, he has since been released.
The mishap happened Saturday afternoon, February 13. The Grafton Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
