Man Charged With Possessing Child Pornography
State Police in Brunswick, with the assistance of the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, arrested 23-year-old Joseph Lyle of Grafton, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony. The arrest took place on Friday, February 26.
Lyle is charged with possessing and promoting images consistent with child sexual exploitation via the internet. He was arrested following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.
Lyle was arraigned in Grafton Town Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He is due back in court on a later date.
