Car Fire Stops Traffic On Route 7
A vehicle traveling west on Route 7 was leaking gas and caught fire. The two men pulled over and exited the vehicle in front of the Man Of Kent restaurant and called 911.
Because of the gas in the road, traffic was unable to pass for about an hour while the car fire was extinguished and the road was washed clear of gasoline. No one was injured. The Hoosick, Pittstown and West Hoosick Fire Departments, along with the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
