For the third week in a row the Hoosick Fall-Tamarac Wildcats dominated an opponent. By halftime the Panthers were in change and things were looking good for the JV to in some playing time.

A couple minutes after being helped off the field on the opening kickoff, Dillon Grogan pulled in a pass from quarterback Jake Sparks on their first possession and raced down the sideline for 59 yards and into the endzone to put the Wildcats up 6-0. The extra point was missed.

Hudson countered later in the quarter on a four yard dive that tied the game. It was the last time the game was competitive.

Sparks tossed a 15 yard pass to Dylan Baker for the final first quarter score. Kicker Abby Buckley tacked on the extra point and the score was 13-6.

Sparks lit up the scoreboard throughout the second quarter. He romped 36 yards for the first of four touchdowns he would be a part of in the quarter. A pass to James Blake for 58 yards and a 26 yard toss to Dillon Grogan put the score at 33-6 with Buckley’s PAT kicks. The Sparks / Grogan connection capped the quarter’s scoring with a 13 yard pass. Buckley booted the extra point to make the halftime score 40-6. Buckley was six of eight on the night.

After halftime the junior varsity got to show their stuff. Quarterback Michael D’Agostino lofted a nice pass to an in stride Richie Stifter for the Panthers final strike on the evening. It was freshman Stifter’s second touchdown in two games. The JV defense held the Blue Hawks to one 15 yard rushing score for the remainder of the game.

Sparks had 92 yards on six rushing attempts and threw for 181 yards, completing nine of eleven attempts with five touchdowns. D’Agostino was two for two, good for 39 yards and one touchdown. The two combined rolled up 220 yards in the air.

Grogan had three catches for 98 yards and James Blake had two for 74 yard.  Josh Colegrove ran 11 times for 86 yards.

This week the Wildcats will host Fonda in a sectional semi-final game. The game is scheduled to played Friday, November 5, beginning at 7 pm. The game will be played at Hoosick Falls Central. HF-T defeated Fonda on Oct. 8 by a score of 20-7. Common opponent Schuylerville defeated Fonda 14-7 and HF-T by fourteen at 14-0. This game will not be a pushover. The winner will face the winner of the (third in the state Class C ranking) Schuylervile vs. Voorheesville game, which also will be Friday evening.

The Class C Championship is scheduled to be played Friday, November 12 at Lansingburgh High School in Troy.
