Ties To The Land: Planning For The Future Of Your Woodlands

On September 17 and October 22, from 9 am to 12:30 pm there will be a workshop on Planning For The Future Of Your Woodlands. The workshop will be held at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center, 71 Main Street in Petersburgh.
This workshop will explore Succession Planning – the human side of estate planning. It will focus on maintaining family ties to the land from generation to generation, on building awareness of the key challenges facing family businesses and on motivating families to address these challenges.

Katherine Stevenson Graduates From Cedar Crest College

Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA, held commencement exercises for approximately 430 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree recipients on May 14. Graduates included students from the traditional women’s college as well as men and women from the School of Adult and Graduate Education. Katherine E. Stevenson of Hoosick Falls graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education.

Labor Day at Mount Lebanon Shaker Village – Last Day to Visit

Mount Lebanon Shaker Village closes for the season on Labor Day, September 5. This is the last weekend to visit. Village hours are 11 am to 4 pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Free guided tours will be offered at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm each day and leave from the North Family Granary. Visitors will learn the history of the Shakers at Mount Lebanon and what the Museum is doing to restore the North Family.
