County Honors Arthur E. Gifford, Vietnam War Army Vet, Recipient Of Purple Heart And Silver Star Medals

The late Arthur E. Gifford, recipient of the Purple Heart and Silver Star Medals among other military awards and decorations for his honorable service to our nation as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and, lifelong resident of the Town of Hoosick, was recognized on Monday, February 8, 2010 by the Rensselaer County Honor-A-Deceased Veteran Committee as well as County, state and federal officials.

Hoosick Rescue Squad Needs Volunteers

The Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad has served the community of Hoosick for the past 53 years. To continue this service it needs volunteers. Candidates can be trained in house in the American Heart Association basic health provided CPR course and also be trained in 24 hours in the various aspects of treating the sick and injured. The First Big Snowfall In Stephentown

Bluebird Boxes Assembled

On Saturday morning, February 6, students of the Pine Valley School of Karate, along with Junior members of the Pioneer Fish & Game Club, assembled 45 bluebird boxes.
