Tuesday Women’s Bowling League Meeting

There will be a meeting of the Barbecue Recreation Tuesday Women’s Bowling League on Tuesday, August 11, at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Barbecue Recreation pavilion. All team captains are encouraged to attend. Any new teams or individual bowlers that are interested in joining the League should also try to attend.
If you are interested in forming a new team or would like to join a team that may need bowlers, please contact Risa Bacon at 518-686-5996 or 802-447-7327.

Go Green Community Day

Come join the fun! On Saturday, August 8, a Go Green Community Day will be held at the ERC Community Warehouse in Hoosick Falls from 10 am to 1 pm.  Kids will learn how to reduce, reuse and recycle, through fun games, crafts and displays. Tours of the Community Warehouse and a bottle, shoe and book drive will also take place at the Community Warehouse at that time. So bring your bottles, shoes and books to help our cause.

Joanne Shenandoah’s Oneida name is Tekaliwah-kwa, which means in English, “She sings.” She sings, in fact, all over the world – a most fitting name for one dubbed “the most critically acclaimed Native American singer of her time” by the Associated Press.
