HFCS Pre-Licensing Course

Hoosick Falls Central School will sponsor the 5-Hour Prelicensing Class needed to take the NYS Driver’s test on Thursday, May 7. Registration begins at 4:30 pm in the High School Office with the class following promptly at 5 pm. A valid learner’s permit and a $35 registration fee are required. New Lebanon Track: Setting Records

In Chatham for a dual meet against Chatham, Doane Stuart and Rensselaer, the New Lebanon track team saw two new school records set, one in the triple jump and one in the 400m hurdles.

Free Mammograms

The Berlin Central School District Health Council is sponsoring their Third Annual Health Fair on Wednesday, May 20, from 11 am to 7 pm. The Fair will be held at the Berlin Jr./Sr. High School in Cherry Plain and is open to the community from 3 to 7 pm.

Berlin American Legion Auxiliary Meeting

The Berlin American Legion Auxiliary Post #937 will have a meeting on Wednesday, May 6, at 7:30 pm at the Watipi Building in Berlin. Encouraged to attend are all wives, daughters, mothers, sisters, grandmothers and great-grandmothers, granddaughters and great-granddaughters of veterans. Relatives of military people currently serving on active duty are especially welcome.

Another Berlin Rabies Clinic

Due to the overwhelming demand for rabies vaccine at our rabies clinic last Thursday, the Town of Berlin will hold another clinic for dogs and cats on Thursday, May 7, at 7 pm at the Town of Berlin Highway Garage on Route 22 in the Town of Berlin. Brunswick Library Garden Day

Brunswick Community Library’s Garden Day is Saturday, May 9, from 9 am to 2 pm (rain or shine) at the Brunswick Walmart parking lot. This year we will have a wide selection of hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, plus tree and shrub seedlings. Raffle tickets are available for a quilt and a hand painted Adirondack chair. The drawings will be held on Garden Day. Stop by and buy something special for Mom while supporting your local library.
