June 30, 2016 By eastwickpress

by David Flint
Who knew that Art Schmich was such a comedian? Selected as Commencement Speaker for Berlin’s graduation ceremonies, Berlin Central School’s Athletic Director for 26 years showed up with props. One was a brand new cell phone with which he proceeded to text his wife Donna to assure her he was safe and sound. – “She worries about me,” – Schmich said. Berlin Valedictory

June 30, 2016 By eastwickpress

Hello…it’s me. A few months ago I was told I needed to write a speech, so here I am. I can try to say something memorable, but I’m not going to make any promises. By now most of you have met my parents, they’re pretty funny people, so hopefully I can make you laugh a little while I’m up here. I might cry. Thinking about the end of high school has turned me into this really emotional person who cries all the time, so if you see me struggling up here I ask that you please applaud. New Lebanon Valedictory

June 30, 2016 By eastwickpress

Good Morning Family, Friends and Class of 2016.
Today marks the very end of our high school career. It almost seems as though graduation has come in waves. The very beginning of it all was of course the part in which we waited.
