Kinder Morgan Withdraws Application For Pipeline

NED is now truly dead.
Kinder Morgan officially withdrew its application to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the Northeast Energy Direct (NED) pipeline on Monday. The company did not provide any further explanation for ending the high pressure natural gas project which would have cut across southern Rensselaer County, including Stephentown, on the way to New England. The Thirty-First Running Of The Wood Memorial

The thirty-first running of the Wood Memorial Road Race was held on Saturday, May 21. It was excellent running weather. A full complement of Lions Club members and Fire Department volunteers positioned throughout the course, and members of the Hoosick Falls Police Department and the Hoosick Rescue Squad were present. Grafton Fire Dept Holds Its Annual Installation Banquet At Hilton Garden Inn

Hoosick Post #40 Hoosick Falls is proud to announce the Grand Marshall for the 2016 Memorial Day parade, longtime Hoosick Falls resident Steve Marcoux.

EPA Honors NYS Environmental Champions

Hoosick’s Dr. Marcus Martinez and Michael Hickey Are
Among Twenty-Eight Regional Recipients

On Friday, May 13, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored 28 individuals and organizations and businesses from across New York State with Environmental Champion Awards for their achievements in protecting public health and the environment. EPA Regional Administrator Judith A. Enck was joined by Murray Fisher, founder of the New York Harbor School, to present the awards to this year’s recipients at a ceremony at the EPA’s offices in Manhattan.
