Clark Art Institute Receives Grant In Support Of Research And Academic Program
$600,000 grant will fund research
on art, technology, and conflict
The Clark Art Institute has received a grant of $600,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation that provides three years of programmatic support for the Institute’s Research and Academic Program (RAP) to strengthen scholarship in art history and visual studies. The funding specifically enables RAP to pursue new initiatives while also continuing support programs established with earlier support from the Foundation. It was Grange Night and Food Pantry Night on April 27. Master David Cornell presided over the meeting. He brought up the price of oil and what we paid and the current price, and ordered more oil. It was brought up about the water at the hall, and it was tested and evaluated and will have a carbon filter put in next week. It was also discussed whether we would do a float and ideas are wanted. Walter Doty, Jr.
Berlin – Walter Doty, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully at his Berlin home on Wednesday evening, April 27, 2016. Born in Hudson, Walter was the son of the late Walter Doty, Sr. and the late Sophia Piesta Doty.
Walter was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go boating, take motorcycle rides, and go out hunting. While these hobbies filled him with much joy, it was his service to our country during the Korean War that filled him with much pride. [Read more…] about Walter Doty, Jr.
